Heavenly Window Cleaning is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard only navigation, magnification, or reduced motion settings.

The standard we are working to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA. That is a target rather than a certification, and the sections below describe honestly where the site stands.

What this site does

• Every image carries descriptive alternative text, or is marked decorative where it adds nothing a screen reader user needs.
• Headings follow a real hierarchy. One first level heading per page, with second and third level headings in order underneath it.
• All functionality is reachable by keyboard, and the focus indicator is visible rather than suppressed.
• Form fields have real labels, required fields are marked, and errors are described in text next to the field rather than by colour alone.
• Text meets AA contrast against its background, and colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
• The frequently asked questions open and close using native browser controls, so they work without JavaScript and are found by the browser's own in page search.
• If your device is set to reduce motion, the opening animation, the smooth scrolling, and the scroll triggered transitions are all switched off, and content is shown immediately.
• Images reserve their space before they load, so the page does not shift under you while you are reading it.

Where we know it is imperfect

• Some photographs on the gallery page show before and after states within a single image. The alternative text describes both states, but a genuinely separate pair would be clearer and we intend to shoot them that way in future.
• We test with keyboard navigation and with screen reader software, but we have not commissioned a formal third party audit. If one is carried out, this statement will be updated with its findings.
